A very pleasant r.oeial gathering occurred Wednesday evening when tho Kl garose Comfort club members and husbands and a group of invited guests gathered at the home of Air. and Mru. Carl Lindsay to honor their t:ou and uaughter-ln law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindsay Jr., of Hosehurg with a miscellaneous shower. Mr. and Mr,s. Lindsay ere married at Berkeley, Calif., in June. Mrs. Lindsay Jr., was present ed with a large bouquet of zinnias by Mrs. John Husenbark Jr., which was a cift from Mrs. Kate Reece. The evening was pleasantly spent in visiting and playing cards until ten o'clock when the lovely gifts were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay and the gift packages opened. At eleven o'clock a lovely supper was served by Mrs. Lind say Sr., assisted by several of the ladies. Rather an unusual coincidence of the evening's gathering was thai tour brides were present. Undergoes Minor Operation Norma Ann Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Williams, of this city, Bad Irer tonsils removed yesterday by Dr. A. C. Seeiy. Vacationing Mr. and Mrs. L. E. MeClintock and daughters, Patri cia, and Nancy, and son, Richard, left yesterday for Neskowin beach to enjoy their 'vacation. Riversdale Grange to Meet Riversdale grange will meet at the hall tonight, August 21, to enter tain Coles valley grange. The la dies of the Riversdale grange have been asked to bring pies.
