For the second time during the past few months a diminutive auxiliary unit has sent a handsome contribution to the veterans at the hospital. From Kirby, Josephine county, one ot the smallest but most active units of the stale, last week came seven boxes of the choicest home made candy, a large box of cookies and cakes, ten tablets with envelopes three stamp books and two car tons of cigarettes. Veterans Will Make Poppies Fifty -five thousand poppies will be made hy veterans at the local facility between now and poppy day. May 30. The veterans are al lowed one cent apiece for each poppy made, which will provide them with a little allowance as well as occupation.
