At seven o'clock cocktails were served to the club members and guests by Mrs. Chas. M. O'M alley and Mrs. Jess Hamil ton at the apartment of Mrs. O'Malley in the Rose hotel, fol lowing which the salad course was Berved by Mrs. Irving Doucette and Miss I net Crosta at the lat ter 's apartment in the Kohlhagen apartments. The patients have been enjoy ing the programs presented espec ially for uiem by the Roseburg broadcasting station, KRNlt. They also appreciate having their re quest numbers granted. Tuesday of this week a very en joyable afternoon at home was sponsored by the state and local American Legion auxiliary. There were groups piaylng pinochle and contract bridge, wim a large group playing "beano." Cigarettes and candy bars were given as prizes, it was ailficult to tell which group was having the best time Juuglng from the laughter and noise lu general. Members of the American Le gion of Eugene and their auxiliary visited the veterans Sunday after noon, distributing as a special treat seven boxes of apples.
