Roser. of Winston, was dis charged from Roseburg General hospital today after recovering from a recent major opeartion. Doing Nicely at Hospital Miss Sybil Walker, head nurse at Rose burg General hospital, is reported to be doing nicely after undergoing a major operation at the hospital last week. Returns to The Dalles Joseph M. Crouch left yesterday for bis home in The Dalles alter having been called to Roseburg by the death of his brother, the late S. B. Crouch. Returns to Work IT. T. Discharged From Hospital Mrs. Benjamin Zenor has been discharg ed from Roseburg General hospital and has returned to her home in this city, having recovered from a recent major" operation. Returns to Sutherlin Mrs. Louise Archambeau has returned to her' home in Suibeiiiu after spending the past few days in this city where she was called by the death of her brother, S. B. Crouch. Abraham, of this city, and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Kessler. of Ump- fua, have returned to their homes alter spending the past two weeks vacationing in southern California. While in San Francisco, Mr. Abra ham purchased spring merchandise for his local department store. They report a fine trip and staled that they especially enjoyed the trip home via the Redwood highway. OKLAHOMA CITIES SHAKEN BY BLAST TULSA, Okla., March 13. Tulsa and its environs were shaken early today by the explosion of 4()0 quarts of nitroglycerine stored In a magazine two miles west ot Red Fork, near Tulsa. Scores of windows were broken and thousands of persons were alarmed by the shock. Officials of the American Glycerine company, owners of the explosive, said no watchman was on duty ami that no lives were belie ed to have been lost. They expressed the opinion a grass fire might have been respon sible. A hole 20 feet In diameter and more than six feet deep was blast ed from the earth. Trees near the scene were torn into ribbons. Small bits of the steel house which cov ered the explosive were found miles distant. The explosion was heard at Vinita, Okla., more than (J 5 miles away. Re ports that two negroes who ter rorized and robbed the family of V. .1. Jtillnn. a farmer, yesterday had previously attacked two young women at the home of Sam Howell a neighbor, sent hundreds of armed men in pursuit of them today. The two men are believed to ha e escaped across the Missis- sippi river into Missouri in a small green sedan stolen from the Dillon farm.
