The eo-nter section will be reserved for them until 7 :4o. Dr. Lowry lias chosen a subject especially appro priate for the young people. They will give some of their school songs and t lie Armory will be made to reverberate with a number of their high school yells. Yesterday was taken as a rest day by the evangelistic parly anil the workers and the revival meet ing started upon its third week with a large attendance al the aft ernoon llible study at 2: So today. The subject of the Hible study was ' Where Are the Dead?" and Dr. Lowry declared that this subject i messcng Do?" by Owens, (from the Welch). The choir is deserving of much praise for their splendid work and loyally. Mr. Nelson also sang a solo, ap propriate for the message of the evening, "Have You Counted the Cost?-" wiih his soul filled with passion fur the lost. Sunday Afternoon at 2:30, the Presbyterian church was filled to overflowing with an audience of women and girls. Tho service was in charge of Miss Slough, pianist and women's worker of the evan gelistic party. She was assisted i bv .Mrs. Williams who ottlclated at the piano aud Mrs. Hugh Whip pie who sang "Come I'nlo Me." I Miss Slotmh brought n most eon viucing message from the story of the Queen of Sheba In 1 Kings H) aud Miit l hew 12:42. A striking parallelism was draw n between the Queen of Sheba and from each individual aud King Solomon and Christ. Last Sal unlay evening Dr. Low ry Rave his attention to dealing with home problems, his subject biting. "Home Sweet Home." He showed thai if the homo question could be sen led right, it would settle all olher nueslions right. As l.he home is of universal Inter est we are giving the following re port, on the Satuidtiy evening mes surc. The text was a pail of Isaiah :i!l:4, "What have Hiey seen in thy house." Taking ibis text as a starling point, he spoke In part, as follows: "This ques! Ion, 'What have they seen in thy house,' was put lo King Heekiah by the prophet Isaiah following Hie visit of certain that had come Irom always brought out the largest at i (he son of the king of Babylon lo tendance of any afternoon sub-1 congratulate him upon his recov ject. ery from a serious illness, lleze- The music at the Armory Sun i kiah hud been miraculously healed dav wilh .Mr. Nelson as director I and it was a splendid oppoiiunity and Mi sr Slough assisting at the 'for him to testify lo (he goodness piano with striking abllitv, was and mercy ol Cod. Hut Just like trulv a big feature. I uiosl people of ibis day, he seems In the morning the great Chorus I io have very tii kly forgolien the Choir of eigl.lv voices, sang tlm ' Lord and Ills mercies. Instead of old favorite, "All Hail. Imanual :" : remembering the Lord, upon whom bv f.ahrie niosi effectively. Tie y he was dependent for all he was also sang with much fervor, that and all he had. he took pride In beautiful hvmn. "What Did Ho showing these visitors his house, his gold, his silver and hid mili tary resources. Of couisu, what these niedttengers saw in Heice klah'a house would largely deter mine their ealinjuie of tue man. It you will i ell me wuat yuu have In your house, 1 wii ted ou what kind of parents you are, what kind of children you have and what kind of an influence you are exert ing In the world. "The homo was tho rust divine institution that the Lord establish ed upon this earth. Yes, It came In-1 to existence ueiore the school, the church or the stute. If we could settle the home question right then we would have all other questions settled right. The people ot tins city are on a icvei witn your homes they will never rise higher than your best homes or tall lower thau your worst homes. "Your home is only one of the many, either helping to make or destroy our nation. So then, taking Isaiah's question as a start ing point, 1 want you to visit with me for a little while, tho most sac red spot on earth. That place that knows more sweet association and pleasant memories than any other spot ou earth, the homo. "Have they seen in thy house the right kind of a beginning for tin Ideal home? In this beautiful laud of ours, this laud of schools, aud churches, this land of plenty, this laud blessed above all other na tions on earth, we find that on an average one home out or every nine is being wrecked by divorce. Why Is this? Well, theio may la: many answers lo this qusiion, but 1 believe the chief difficulty Is that they were not started right. There has been a disregard for the plain simplo teaching of Hod's word on this subject. Hod says, 'He ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship hath righteous ness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light wiih darkness?" I do not, believe Christian should ever marry a non Christian. There must he spiritual agreement, as well as harmony in olher things, if there is to lie happy home. The proverb, 'All true marriages are made in hen- j ven.' I think there are many mar rlages in these days that Hod had nothing to do wilh. oo many young women get Hie Idea that they must marry Borne thing, therefore they Tall all over the first opportunity that comes along. Well, girls, there are many things worse than being an ol;i maid, and one of them is inarryiUR the wrong fellow. A lot of fellows ought to be arrested for going around disguised as men. Then, young men, you need a word of caution also. Don't choose a girl with her war patnl on. If you would kiss some of these little society misses, I am afraid you would die of painter's colic. However, thero would be one ad vantage In marrying one of these little frizzled-headetl, fudge-eating, theatre-iiuddluir. guin-chewiiiR, card plavhiR, dancing society misses, anil that would be If she fell inlo the water there would he no danger of her drowning for empty gourd head would keep her afloat. "Have they seen in thy house pa rental' control and authority? We probably have as much home rule as ever, but In these days It. Is the children ruling the parents, instead of the parents ruling the children. A child that will not obey father and mother will neither obey social civil or divine lawn. The quesiion of obedience to law is settled hi childhood and in the home. Man has never been able to Improve on Hod's plan as expressed in Pro verbs xxll, ti and xili. 2ft. 'Train up a child in the way lie should go. and even when ho Is old he will not depart from it. . . He that spareth his rod liateth his son; but he thai loveth him chaslenth him dili gently.' "When a parent corrects the child in the right spirit it is just as much an acl of love on the part of Ihe parent as anything ever done for the chil :. I am not advocating brutal treatment id children, under stand, but I am sure many of your homes would be better if you had a switch liauRlug on the wall under the motto, "I Need Thee Kverv Hour." "Have they seen in thy house Wood-Cutters Supplies Now, when prices are lower, is the time to buy. The Ironmongers the godly example? If you would bring up a child in the way he should go you parents must go that way yourselves. The devil is get ting many children horo lu Hose burg by getting tho parents first. You can very easily tell what kind of parents children have by listen ing to their conversation and watching their conduct. A father coining into his home unexpected ly heard his little boy and girl quarreling just as though they were about ready to fight. He said, 'Why children, you should not quarrel like that with each other." The hoy smilingly re plied: 'Why, pap, wo are not quarreling lu earnest, wo are just playing pap and mamma.' If you will watch your children I can as sure you will find them playing pap and mamma lu more ways than one. Many children are led Into dis honesty aud lying by what they seo and hear In the home. A home to be Ideal must have piety In it, a godly Tnlher, a priest of Hod in his household, and pious praying mother with her godly example.
