HO Final approval was given by the inter state commerce, commission today to a Joint project ol the Northern Pad lie and Oregon - Washington Railroad and Navigation company for the construction of 59 miles of new railroad from Mocllps to the Holt river, in Washington state. The original routing -for the ex tension was changed last summer and the order today allows the roads to proceed with the new location. In addition, the commis sion approved joint u.se. ' con t facts by which (he Oregon - Washington company will occupy Northern Pa cific lines adjacent to the exten slon. Two abandonments of short, lines contemplated by other north Pa cilic carriers were favorably re ported to the commission today by examiners. The Sumpter Valley railroad in Oregon lenlatively was authorized to abandon 20 miles of line from Hales t Prairie City.
