Here briefly, is the plan that has been worked out: Tlu; stale chamber lias authorized Hie printing of (',750,000 rjfstcr stamps to be printed in four colors and representing :"0,different designs. They will be printed .".0 different fvajnps to the page and will he sold at the rate of $25.00 f ot a book of 25 pages. A bridge is beiiiK built across Cow creek at Reuben, 4 miles west of Gien dale, by a number of individuals who are in need of a means of I Closing Low c.eek at this piac- As I lie bridge is a big burden for a few peopie to build and as tne bnuge is in wide use by the gen- e.ui public it Js hoped to secure some aid from the county court in Its construction. This bridge replaces one destroy ed hy tire last summer. 'I ne ori ginal bridge at this site was built in hy the Gold Bug Mining company at the time they built a road to thu Gold Bug mine. In Hn8 the bridge was partially re built on account of having been damaged by high water during the winter of that year. Lumber com panies operating ut Reuben kept the bridge in repairs for a num ber of years but in recent years homesteaders in that locality have attended to this on their own ac count. The bridge now under construc tion is of a truss type, 14 feet wide with a span of G2 feet and an approach at both ends each tit) feet hi length. Among those helping build thin bridge are H. S. Stevenson, E. W. Pollard and Bud Buir, rancherj and homesteaders on the west shii or Cow creek near Reuben; alsu Lert Looney, C. F. Kafer. Frank trill and the three Sanderson brotheis. Archie, Clifford ami Clay ton, who have mining interests in the Reuben district. The Sander son brothers have claims on Whis key creek and on Rogue river he low the Gold Bug.
