Rarackman, who holds the light heavyweight cham pionship of Washington, does a great deal of his training by wrestling with hts 250-pound bear, thereby gaining much experience and ubi.'lty In handling weight. The bear is well trained in wrestl ing tactics and makes an excellent training partner. He gets much enjoyment out of wrestling and en ters into a match with real zest. Clyde Wlard, local promoter, an nounced today that the junior middleweight championship belt held by Wildcat Pete will not be at stake In the match Friday, as was previously announced, as Rarackman will not be able to make the weight. The wrestlers are meeting on a catch-weight basis, so that the title will not be involved. Both of the wrestlers are rough in their tactics, and a wild match Is assured. In addition to the main event, which is to be for the best two out of three falls, with a two- hour time limit, there will be an exhibition by the wrestling bear against three successive oppon ents, and a fifteen minute pre liminary between Glenn- Myers of Roseburg and Roy Jacobs of Corvallis. BAND CONCERT TO RAISE MONEY FOR TENNIS COURTS A benefit band concert being nr milled bv the Parent-Teacher asso ciation of the senior lilirli school. Is to be given early In February at the hleh school auditorium. The proceeds from ihe concert are to be used for building tennis courts on the school properly In Laurel wood. The association had expect ed to pnv the band for Its services and devote the profit to the project, but at the rehearsal last night the band members agreed unanimously to donate their services bo that all of the monev received may be used for the building of the tennis courts. .which are urgently needed in the city.
