(Grams lasa Courier) City council of Crescent City pe tition the California highway commission to abandon the few uiilfs of oiled highway which lead lourisiB inland on the Redwood highway betoie they have a chance to see the coast city, and prepare io Lse a new artery which has been constructed through the city itself. This is a petition the commission would do well to heed. The people of Del Norte county have contrib uted much to the building of the Uedwood highway and its advertis ing ihrouKh the Redwood Empire association. The new route would be no long er than the present detour, and when it is put in u.ie Crescent City wiil protit much more from the highway it supported.
