Many houses collapsed and fire broke out but It was quickly controlled. An undetermined number of per sons were Injured. Damage was estimated at $100. 000. The annual Christmas party of the Yoncalla Kmbroidery club was held Wednesday evening in the I. O. O. F. hall. The hall was beau tifully decorated with Oregor grape and ferns. A large Christmas tree, baeuttfully decorated witr electrlc lights and other ornaments stood in the center of the room. Little miniature trees graced the long table at one end of the hall. A seven o'clock dinner was served to the members and their hus bands. Ellon Bollenbaugh, Bill Willis and Fred Forbes went out to the turkey shoot at the Call Hamilton place Sunday. Mayor Willis was the only one from Canyonville to pet a turkev. Fred Forbes Is Mr. Willis brother In law here from Portland, and is staving with the Willis family. Mr. ttrultke of Cold Hill has the BlMtner hall leased.
