The lower molding Is con tinued forward to the radiator shell. This paneling not only in creases the beauty of ths body, but a 1st) emphasizes the lonK. low lines of the car. The lenders have b'-en deepened, this alo ad ding 10 the beauty of the as sembly. " The touring and sport touring ate finished in two tone Duco. Below the molding, which runs urouml the car to both sides of the radiator shell, the color Is an attractive shade of Kussian brown. Above the molding the thudiiiK Is moleskin grey, which forms a panel strip along the sides of the car and a saddle over the top of the hood, lied strip ing Just under the molding, on the louvers and on the spokes of the wheels forms a pleasing con trast. Both tho touring and sport touring cars are upholstered in genuine grey Spanish leather. The coach and deluxe coach are finished in Bucking grey Duco. There is a double mold ing, tho lower beading extending out to the radjutor shell. Klue green striping seta oft the panel formed by this molding, as well as the hood louvers and wheel spokes. The flninh above the -up per molding Is black Duco. Tne upholstering is a neutral shade of heavy cord plush. The sedan and deluxe sedan have ftn attractive aquamarine blue finish with white striping to set off the papel, hood louvers and wheel spokes. These, also, have, a double molding, aud are finished in black Duco above the panel thus formed. Heavy cord plush is used for the upholstery. These models have an instrument board gasoline gauge. The sport tour ing has windshield wings, and natural wood wheels are optional. Adoption of 21-lnch balloon tire wheels wood lor standard and disc steel for deluxe und feport models and changes in the springs and spring shackeis have resulted in bringing the bo dies closer to the ground, adding to beauty and riding comfort. The overall length of the coach body has been increased. This makes the coach even more I roomy than formerly. Doors of I both coaches and seduns have j been widened. Clutch pedal pres sure has been reduced, which lo ! gether with lengthened gear shift i lever, makes gear shilling very t easy and produces smooth power . ! application. j Several refinements In the 'power plant have served to in i crease the power of the Ohlsmo- j j bile six cylinder engine, ut the ' same time increasing its economy of operation. A new type of lit; lit j cast iron piston is now used, with i 'two. compression rings und one oil regulating ring, this instal lation incorporates the newest teatures of uutomubiie engine lubrication. The inlet valves have been enlarged, the valve lift in creased and the cams given an improved contour, all resulting in smoother operation and greater power. Additional strength has been given the frume by the use of a tubular front cross member in stead of one of pressed steel. j Several other mechanical changes have been maue u increase the strength and stamina of the chassis. Improper carburetor adjustment Is otitu the cause of overheated engines. Too nth a mixture re sults in a prolonged, sluggish Igni tion causing the intense heat to be maintained over a iongr period of tune. This causes the water to heal up too quickly und, in its com paratively short cycle of circula tion, i t can not become properly cooitd so that un overheated en gine results. The increased heat, due to the prolonged, sluggish ignition caused by a rich carburetor mixture, is transmitted to the circulating wa Ur through the medium of the cylludtr wails. The rise in the water temperature is instantly re corded by the heat indicator on the radiator cap through the medium of the vapor temperature over the water. The warning of an over head d engine. is thus given In am ple time before serious damage ro sults. The next thing to do is to have a competent garagt niechan- , Due in a. lame measure to thu educational work done by the Tide Water OH Sales Corpora tion, marketers and refiners of Veedol Motor Oils and Greases, motorists aa well as dealers are now insisting on the proper grade of oil as well as a particular brand. All dealer sselllng Veedol Motor Oils and Greases are sup plied with a Motor Protection Guide that shows the proper grade of Veedol to use in all pop ular cars. All recommendations shown on the Veedol "'Motor Protection Guide" are decided upon by the Tide Water Engineering staff af ter the most comprehensive analy sis of the. various designs and lu bricating requirements on all ty pes of engines. This Is done at the motor testing laboratory t Uayonne, New Jersey, one of the , best of its kind. The engineers I also work in conjunction with the automotive manufacturers, so that, I they are kept posted on all im provements, changes In construc tion and design. In addition to giving the recommendations of all recent makes and models of auto mobiles, the Veedol "Motor Pro tection Guide" shows the crake- case capacity of each. Any dealer displaying the well- known Veedol Orange and Black Sign has a Motor Protection Guide : that shows the proper grade of i oil to use in your car to insure the most satisfactory results and 'the greatest economy In opera t tion. 1 - - ic adjust the carburetor until It is I exactly right and then for the mo torist to leave it strictly alone. .
