The. camp Is to b divided into regu lar periods, and a program will be maintained during the entire time. The boys will not only be given plenty of recreation, but will de vote a great deal of time to studies relating to scout activities. It Is hoped that each scout will advance at least one rank during the two weeks. Horse drawn vehicles constitute less than on a per cent of the total traffic ou (Oregon's highways according to a I survey conducted by the Btato i highway department on June 17. Tho survey which covered 1N5 points on 33 different state hlgh j ways accounted for a total of 110, 585 vehicles of all descriptions of which only 1092 or - .98 per cent were horsedrawn. Passenger automobiles constitu ted by far the heaviest part of the trafric with a total of 98.599 cars accounted for, or 8.16 per cent tf the total. Of this number 71.9:14 were Oregon cars and 2o.6ti5 were cars mm other atales. A total of 6,100 light trucks were accounted for and 3,980 heavy trucks. Motor cycles numbered 814. The heaviest traffic was found at a point on the Tualatin valley highway west of the Junction near Heaverton where 2819 vehicles were counted during the day. only five of which were horsedrawn. Only ten vehicles were counted on the Ochoco highway at Its Junc tion with the John Day highway, all of this number being passenger automobiles bearing the Oregon license.
