Passenger automobiles constitu
ted by far the heaviest part of the
trafric with a total of 98.599 cars
accounted for, or 8.16 per cent tf
the total. Of this number 71.9:14
were Oregon cars and 2o.6ti5 were
cars mm other atales. A total of
6,100 light trucks were accounted
for and 3,980 heavy trucks. Motor
cycles numbered 814.
The heaviest traffic was found
at a point on the Tualatin valley
highway west of the Junction near
Heaverton where 2819 vehicles
were counted during the day. only
five of which were horsedrawn.
Only ten vehicles were counted on
the Ochoco highway at Its Junc
tion with the John Day highway,
all of this number being passenger
automobiles bearing the Oregon
license.
