Carden Valley Club Meets Wednesday Afternoon The Carden Valley Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. Fred I'arrolt Wednesday nfter noon and after after a short busi ness session, the afternoon was devoted to visiting and gsnies. Th rooms were tastily decorated In beautiful hornets of roses. It being the birthday anniversary of the hostess, the members of the club pretenled her with a large blrthdity rake, which ais rut la ter In tire afternoon. Presi dent Cool i Use cancelled his en gagements for today because of ill ness. The president returned to the White House proper after a short visit to hia offices and the White House physicians were summoned. Officials said the indisposition was not of a serious character.
