From the end of this tunnel the wa ter will enter a creoHoted wood tave pipe 1318 feet long and 16 feet In diameter, and from this pipe It will pass into a second tunnel 1106 feet long. Both of these tunnels g.will be lined with concrete in a ! horseshoe section, the area of ' which w ill be equivalent to a circle 16 feet in diameter. From the low lerendof the second 'tunnel the water will be conducted through two Bteel penstocks, each 13J feet In diameter and approximately 8S0 feet in length to the power house below. The total effective head on the plant is 140 feet. In the power house, which la of structural steel construction and equipped with two forty-ton cranes, there will be lo cated two vertical type generating units, each consisting of a 20. null horsepower turbine and a 15,000 kilowatt generator.
