Mining Bureau Change Asked The Southwestern Oregon min ing bureau haa asked Senator Mil ler to introduce a bill In the legis lature for the repoal of the act creating the old state mining bureau and the commission t the head of It, and to turn all of Ha records and property over to the school of mines at the Oregon Ag riculture College. He also has been asked to Introduce a meas ure that will authorize the school of mines, through a field or x titnslon service, to provide for co operation between the school of mines at O. A. C. and the" mineral Industry of the state similar to that which exists between the agricultural school at the college and the fanners. The purpose of field representa tives of the school of mines would be to make an economical mineral survey with the consequent tabu lation of such data as would be helpful In the development of the mineral resources of the state.
