The United States Railroad Labor Board In a decision today granted an Increase in wages of approximately 63.740,- 000 to clerical service employes on 43 railways In all sections of the country. The "affaire Dundee" as it is known here, attracting much inter est in sporting circles. The promo ters, decided to tile the suit and complaint against Dundee and his adviser only after they had receiv- eu a wireiesa from the captain of uie liner fans, 20 hours out of Plymouth, bound for New York, saying that Dundee was aboard. There was also a message from Johnny himself saying he waa sor ry that illness In his family made It Imperative for him to return to the United States, but that he would come back to fight Bret tonncl or anybody else. The French promoters are es pecially bitter because on Friday, they claim, Johnny was going through the motions of training for his Urettonnel fight and protesting that he Intended to go on with the contest as arranged. While at the same time he had in his pockets the steamship tickets for New York, which according to the rec ords ot a steamship sgency, had been purchased Thursday. "Johnny Will pay through the nose for his disappearing stunt," said Promoter Boyer. "I knew he was reputed for fast foot-work, but this Jumping clear out of France is too much even from "Jumping Johnny,' " Boyer displayed con tract which was signed December 24, by "James Johnston for John- nT Dundee," and which also bore Johnnys own signature. Boyer al so snowed his own receipt for 20, 000 francs deposited with the French Boxing Federation, January 7. as a forfeit.
