He Is also endeavor ing to make it easier fer the growers to find out where to obtain ma terials for reconstruction of driers and to give Information regarding the minor detalles of Installing fans ano matting other changes In driers. The college this year has a new service, he states, and is sending out blue prints and plans or the latest Improved drlee, the plans being available to all growers who desire to Install the recirculating system of 'trier. The plans are being dsltrl buled at a very small cost, the amount charged only covering the cost of blue printing. The plans ate constructed to scale so that they cen be easily followed by any contractor or enrponter. The newly developed driers have a fixed capacity. Mr. Wiegand states, but the capacity can be reduced hv lowering the height of the tunnel. Heretofore many tunnels were re- eulred to hnnrile eight tons or prunes dally. In the new drier one tunnel w'll handle eight Ions every 24 hours. This new svsteni will rrentlv re duce the Inllin! cost nnd will Improve the quality . or the dried prunes.
