"The fish industry Is one of the larg est in ttie state. Hundreds of men and women are employed and It would be criminal not to vole funds for the rebuilding and restoration of the hatcheries." Hatcheries along the Trask river, Alsea at tidewater, Tillamook, Bon neville, C'latskanle, Santiam, Ump qua and Siletz were all damaged. In addition to the Eagle and Tanner creek ponds: The bill provides that the state treasurer draw warrants for . the amount on the state treasury, pay able out of tho general fund. Everybody knows how the native costumes of these people have been applauded, and how "Spanish" we have Income in dress. The shawl, perhaps the most characteristic garment, has been adopted as it was found. And, It has been adapted too, in many ma terials the most interesting of which is wool or a mixture of silk und wool, to say nothing of silk, artificial or spun. Smart women are learning by de grees that Grandma's day held much of charm, and that there Is a gruce and distinction about her shawl which has not had proper apprecia tion until this season. After all the shoulder shawl is but a scarf In varied form, and as a matter of con venience It is a garment hard to beat. There Is a modern version of the shawl knitted in a lovely blend of blue and yellow silk and deeply fringed on three of Its sides. The fourth side has a semi-roll collar, a Fullerton's Drug The n Store Store The Quality of Candy we are Selling and at such LOW PRICES Is Creating much Comment t Here are a Few of the Candies You Will Want: AT 29c You can buy FULL POUND BROKEN MIXED Always Popular 32c FULL POUND is certainly reasonable For CREAM MIXED You'll agree the qual ity is good 39c Gives you a FULL POUND OP FRENCH MIXED Fine for Xmas Morning Have us Set Aside a Package of LIGGETT'S CHOCOLATES Assortment still to be had from 50c to $6.25 THE BOX Store NATHAN' FUXKKTOM.
