Hyndtnan peak Is the only named mountain In Idaho that rises above 12.000 feet. It stands near the Blaine-Custer county line and has a height of 12,078 fret. There are, how ever, several unnnmed pettks near Hyndmnn peak whose elevations are greater than 12,000 feet, as shown by the contours on the Halley topographic map, published by the United States geological survey. Music Club Has Opening Meeting The Monthly Music club of Rose burg held Its opening meeting Tues day evening, October 12th. Mrs. William Bell, president of the club, called the meeting to order and in troduced Miss Helen Moore, musical director of the Roseburg schools, who led the club In community sing ing for one half hour. Then followed the business session, at which time Dr. Brumfield explained how t he club and the Roseburg high school students had jointly sponsored the bringing during the winter to our city a most excellent lyceura course.
