He only recently roturned from a trip to Coos ltay and during hia stay in that section received a two-coluui write-up In a Marshfield paper con cerning his former days as mall carrier over the old Coos Bay road, Mr. Vinson Is quite well known In that section of the country, and states that he had a fine time vis iting with friends. Leave for Portland Thomas Dram, wife and son. who have been visiting in this city with Mrs. Deam's brother, Jim Schaffer, left this morning for Portland where they will visit for a short time. Mr. Ellis was a member of the 10th engineers and while overseas talked with sev eral hundred men from all parts of the country regarding the best place In which to locate.
