Oregon grape and many other flowers and decora tive greenery occupied a prominent place on twu large pedestals at oppo site sides of the squure, with a glass aquarium In which a number of gold fish swam, occupying Hie center, the pcdc-lala, tattles and flags were I draped In patriotic colors, while the nHiimiHl flag was given a prominent pluce, together with the helmet an.) cap symbolic of the fire department. Amend the inside edge of the squure formed by the tables was a border of Oregon grape, seafoam and red carnations, contrasilnff with (be white of the snowy table linen. Al together the effect was very pleasing and beggars description. The com liiuuilnn formed by the attractive dining room and the beautiful decor ations will not be forgotten by thos.? who had an opportunity to be pres ent and was without doubt the out standing feature of (he banquet.
