Audience Hears Evangelist Rippey SI'TllERLIN. .May 6. (Special) With an Increasing attendance and interest at the Seventh Day Advent 1st meetings, which began Sunday evening, Kvangelist Rippey spoke last night on the subject of Christ's return. From John 14 ho showed Kiat Christ promised to return to this earth, and that this fans been the desire of all ages. Ho alBO stated that there were many other scrip tures where prophets and apostles had spoken of the second coming of Christ. The speaker demonstrated that the coming would be persona) and. literal, using the following scriptures as proof: Psalms .1:5; Acts 1.9-11: Rev. 1.7: John 20.10 15 and 25-27. From these scriptures the evangelist proved that Christ would come as a man In the clouds of heaven just as he went away, and that we would know him by the print of the nails in his hands, which he would earrv throughout eternity. From 1 Thes. 1 15.1 :-! 7. 2 Thes. 1.7 9, and 2.8. he proved that the rinht eous dead would be raised nt Christ's second coming and that Ihe righteous living would be translated t that time, while the wicked would fall dead because of the brightness of I Ills coming. Isaiah 20.4 and Jere- J mlah 4.23-21! were cited to show that this old world would be completely; broken up at Christ's coming.
