McRae, the book expert, who has been examining and check ing up the financial records of the County, presented hla final report to the county court In special session this morning. The reports was ac cepted by the county, and Mr. McRae was given a warrant for $600 In pay ment for blB work. County Treaa. 8ayers' accounts wore found correct; the books of H. T. McClallen, former sheriff, were found delinquent In only one item, while those of Z. N. Agee, former county clerk, disclosed a shortage of $012.92. The sum In Mr. McClal len's booka which wa8 not account ed for la $17.80, received on a pay ment of tax penalty and Interest. Mr. McClallen was present when the ex perts report waa presented and Im mediately tendered a check In pay ment of the discrepancy. He Btated, however, that he could probably ac count for tho sum later on. Of Mr. Agee'a shortage, $412 represents fees collected for vnrloua purposes, while the remaining $100 consists of a fine Imposed In tho circuit court and paid to hint. Mr. Agee, who la now a trav elling salesman, will arrive In the city In a few daya, whsn the matter will be brought to tils attention.
