The man was evidently 111, and Dr. Homer 1. Keeney was sum monod to attend him. He said there were symptoms of ptomaine poison ing and after administering remedies for temporary relief, had the patient removed to Good Samnrltnn hospital. Last night Dr. Keeney said that he, and other doctors called into consul tation, were unable to determine whether the distress was caused by ptomaine poisoning or came from ap pendicltal complications. At 6 o'clock the sick man was improving and was thought not to be in a dangerous condition. Mr. Prosole Is engaged In railroad work at Roseburg and be longs to the Elks' lodge In that city.
