Thurman Cannon was here today on business, after an absence of 18 months. He is employed in the U. S. forestry service, being located in the Cascade reserve about 40 miles east of Eugene. He has already arranged for 10 or 15 agen cies throughout the country for in teresting people in Douglns county lands, and directing their special at tention to the advantages offered In Sutherlln vnlley. Lenox today by "11111" Bradley, tbo lone resident of Caps lllihe, near the headwaters of the North t'lltpquo river. 70 miles east of here, llradley presented to the county clerk the scalps of 37 coyotes and wolves, which, at J10 apiece, brought him n total bounty of $:170. All of the ani mals were slain by llradley between Aug. 15 nnd Oct. 10, of this year.
