T., says: Firo broke cut liere ut C o'clock last night nml In three hours had' dono upwards of $500,000 damage. The blaze started in the rear of the Orand Hotel, on upper Main street. This large wooden structure burned like tinder, and the water pressure being low, the fire department could do nothing to stay Its progress. The flames swept on without check, extending both up and down Main street, on the east side for two blocks. They finally stopped at the new brick building of Franken burger & Newman, which together with its J4S.000 stoc'i of clothing, was destroyed. From this po'nt the flames jumped across Main street to the large grocery store of J. B. An glus which was also destroyed. Ad vancing up Main street in the direc tion of Castle Rock, several small business houses were wiped out as was the splendid new building of the Elks, which fell prey to the flames and was a total loss. Leaving the business section, the fire swept over Clcwson Kill, one of the best residential parts of the city. Here every dwelling was des troyed with the exception of llie Henkle and Clawson residences. When the flames threatened to wipe out the entire city, dynamite was re Borted to and buildings were blowu down In the path of the fire. This In a large measure saved the entire town from destruction. The loss Is $500,000; insurance, 150,000. A Healthy Family. MAKES A LASTING CURE There are certain mineral medicines which will remove the external symptoms of Contagious Blood Poison, and shut the disease up in the system for nwhile, but when the treatment is left oil the disease will surely return. Then the loathsome symptoms of ulcerated mouth and throat, copper-colored spots, falling hnir, sores nnd ulcers, etc., are usually worse because the disease has made rapid progress on the internal members, and weakened the constitution and general health of the sufferer. S. S. S. is the only remedy that can be used with perfect safety in the treatment of Contagious Blood Poison, and with the assurance that a lasting cure will result. This medicine, made entirely of roots and herbs of recognized curative and tonic value, antidotes and destroys the powerful virus of the disease, and by purifying the blood of every particle of the poison and enriching nnd strengthening the circulation, removes every svpmpUm of . the trouble. S. S. S. does not hide or cover up the disease in any way, but drives it entirely out from the blood, leaving not the slightest' trace for future outbreaks.
