This Is a ru mor being circulated and which 1: alleged to be the Insido reason fo Judge Benson leaving the bench, hit resignation taking effect tomorrow, I when he will be succeeded by George, Poland, rormerly of Astoria. The report Is iu circulation that Secretary of State Frank Benson, who Is now In California, will ten der his resignation to Gov. George E. Chamberlain within two or three months, or, at latest, before tho leg islature meets. This will leave a vacancy, and the understanding Is that Gov. Chamberlain will appoint Frank's brother.
