What evidence they are supposed to possess is not known except by the author ities. This afternoon Hltsman and his wife were being questioned privately by District Attorney Brown . A report emanating from The Dalles and pub lished io the Portland Telegram to the effect that the couple had been ar rested for complicity in the murder is erroneous. The annual declamation contest of the RoBeburg schools will be held at the Opera House on Tuesday evening, May 10th. The grades are divided into four divisions, each division being composed of one contestant from each room In the schools.
