Among other incidents it says Admiral Wlttgert was standing on the battU-ship Czarovitch when, during the height of the battle, ho was struck by an exploding shell and blown to atoms. The other casualties resulting aboard tho vossol were 210 men killed and 00 wounded. When the battleship was towed to Kai Chow I it was found that its steering appara- tus had been shot away and most of the machinery of the vessel was so badly damaged as to be useless.
