Mr. Sutherlin informed an Owl reporter he is getting ready for the "grand rush" when the big sawmills and other manufacturing plants are in operation. J. L. Sitz, of Harney, but formerly of Douglas county, has been here visiting relatives. Mr. Sitz is a cousin of Mrs. Km ma McKinney and K. O. Lehman. He is a stockman and merchant of Harney county. From here he went to Glendale to visit a brother, accompanied by It. O. Lehmann and daughtor, Miss llessle. About 30 years ago Mr. Sitz was a resident of Cow Creek valley. Owl. A BIG DROP. At the family home on Deer Creek, twelve miles east of Rose burg, Hlanche Lurley Webb, aged seven years, one mouth and four days, of stomach trouble. Deceased was the daughter of Percy A. Webb. Resides her father, she Is survived by a sister two years of age. Her mother died ouly six months ago. Mr. Webb has the sincere sympathy of the community in his sad bereavement. Tho romains will be brought to the Odd Fellows cemetery and interred at - o clock tomorrow afternoon, with services conducted by Rev. W. A. Smirk. I'nusual sadness marks the death of this bright little girl. Just six months ago her mother was laid to llnal rest, and t wo mont hs later her father suffered a severe accident to his foot which incapacitated him for work for several weeks.
