HENRIKSEN, CANDIDATE FOR COUTY COMMISSIOXKK iF Is' - r To the voters of Douglas County: As the closing days of Ibe primary campaign are drawing near, it is expedient that the electors of the county decide upon those for whom they will cast their ballot next Fri day. For this reason I deem it proper that some reasons be given why I ask the Bupport of my candi dacy, and I therefore Issue statement. I am a candidate for the office of commissioner, and if elected to this Important office, will serve the peo ple with fidelity and courage, striv ing to give them a business admin istration which will permit of pro gress and development coupled with economy and efficiency. 'For more than thirty years I have been en- ' Kencral mercantile business, and have been successful in all of these pursuits through giving them close attention, and I believe such busi ness management should be carried Into the larger affairs of the nuntv. I believe in using the resources of the people through taxation, econom ically, but not to the extent of miser liness at the expense of development. I have been accustomed to handle large affairs for myself, thus giv ing me the experience to be able to care for the larger ones .of 'the county. I know all parts of Douglas county, and a,m able to realize her need of good roads, highways and byways. I have always been an ob server of the laws of the state, and believe in a strict enforcement of the statutes. My campaign has been an open book not filled with prom ises, so that if you nominate and elect me to the office of cornfilis sionor, the only promise I will have to fill is that I will serve the public honestly, equitably and without fav or. I respectfully solicit your sup port and vote on. these grounds. Cost your vote this way 62 X.
