We have only had two dances with bands since the beginning of the school year. While these dances did not have very high attendance levels we still think that we need more dances with live music to give the students a chance. Instead of saying that bands are not worth it, let’s keep trying. Dances with bands playing are fun and we should have more of them. Give us a chance and maybe student interest will increase. PETE ZAUNER If you ever been around the clinic on Tuesday or Thursday you might have bumped into a sort of chubby guy who calls himself Pete Zauner. This 28 year old Cree hails from Canada and is 5-7, 218 pounds. He is a Senior at Portland State University and is majoring in Social Work. Zauner spends two days a week at Chemawa counciling stud ents. When asked a little about his work, Zauner said, "My main mission at Chemawa is to get students to go on to college, I want to show them that if they make it here that it can be done in college?' Zauner says, "I couldn’t make through the ninth grade, but I’m about to graduate from college with honors". He loves motorcycles, movies, boxing and girls. Story by T.J.
