We sle p t any. place we wanted to t h a t -n i g ftt •• Some o f us stayed up u n t il 4 o r 5:00 a.m. We put our m attress on the flo o r . Some' g i r l s watched T.V . w h ile o th e rs ju s t stayed in the room and did something else. We s le p t in t i l 10:00 on Sunday morning. I t was, o u r lin e n change th a t day so we a l l had to g e t up a t 10:00 to change o u r l i n e n . They s o ld us donuts and coffee. A fte r a l l , we had an ex ci t i ng s lumber party, Dorothy Kasuse Eat a high p ro te in break- fa s t-e g g s and meat. Coffee alone is not enough. HONOR BAND Four of Chemawa's Advanced Band students were selected to p a r tic ip a te in the. a l l - d is t r i c t high schoo1 honor. STUDY CENTER Students are making good use o f the evening study h a ll. This year the lib ra ry is open fro m 6 :0 0 to 8 :0 0 P. M. Study h a ll is open from Mon day th ro u g h Thursday f o r those students who need ex tr a help from the teachers. Braves Conclude Season with a Win Chema_wa_Braves have con- one o f t h e i r most successful fo o tb a ll seasons of recent years. The fin a l game of the regu la r season a g a in st Santiam w i l l have to go down in the records as one o f the high lig h ts of A-2 g rid iro n a c tiv - i ty'. Chemawa drew f i r s t blood when L i t t l e R ic h a rd Koso caught a pass amidst a host of defenders and l i t e r a l l y squirmed his way fo r the re m aining e ig h t yards to get the score. The Braves missed on the e xtra p o in t and San- t i am came bac k w ith a co un- te r to tie i t up at 6 a l1. Late in the second p eriod Santiam c a p it a liz e d on a Chemawa e rro r to score again, and end the h a lf w ith the Braves on the s h o rt end of a 6-13 score. Early in the third , q u a rte r, Cook in tercepted a pass and g 1 uded scampered 65 yards fo r an other Braves score, the la s t fiv e yards of which he car r i ed o Santiam t a c k ie r on h is back. The e xtra p o in t made i t 13 a ll u n til la te in the fo u rth q u a r t e r when th e B raves m a in ta in e d a 30 ya rd sus ta in e d d r iv e w ith Anthony M e lovidov c a rry in g acro ss fo r the fin a l score to make i t 19-13 fo r the Braves. S an tia m th re a te n e d once more but was unable to muster the power to score. Both teams played e xce lle n t b a ll and i t was a .re a l crowd t h r i l l e r a ll the way.
