The Girl of the Month is chosen for the following: pro gress, helping others, and citizen ship. At the first Sunday assembly of the month the awards are given to the girls selected for the pre ceding month. Each girl is given an award and a letter of commenda tion signed by the staff. Girls who received awards last month were: Lorena Mills, Lucille Killbear, Len ora Oxeroek, Esther Hiratsuka, Ar lene Willard, Betty Jean Begay, Nancy Yazzi, Lucy Hofseth, from Winona. The McBride girls receiv ing awards were: Alice Booth, Christine Alowa and Maxine Sky. STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT The first half of this school year is over.
