Mrs. Golda Henry Hawkins, form er Chemawa teacher, Albany, Ore gon. * * * V IS IT TO BLIND SCCHOOL Last Saturday Fred Moses, Wasu- iie, and I went to the Blind School to visit John Alexie. We saw other boys and girls who cannot see. Some of the boys and girls at the Blind School can see just a little. We visited about one hour. Noel Owens. W H A T A DINNER! On February 17th all the L.D.S. members were invited to a dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis’s home. The girls went over right after services and helped Mrs. Jarvis prepare the meal. After a short time the boys came. We had a wonderful dinner, a nice afternoon and we all really en joyed every minute of it. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis. Mary Frances Bennett. DRIVER TR A IN IN G TRIP TO BACHELOR BUTTE The Unit Leaders from McNary Hall were taken on a trip to Bache lor Butte to spent the day skiing: The boys who made the trip, be sides the writers, were Peter Kippi, Hultman Joshua, Raymond Paneàk and George Jim. Bachelor Butte is about 175 miles from Chemawa. Wei saw wonderful sights along the way among them being Mt. Hood, The Sisters, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, and Mt. Bruno. We followed the Santiam Pass highway across the mountains. We saw cattle ranches and horse ran ches. We saw little roads leading off through the mountains lined with bushes, pine trees and maple trees. Then we reached Big Cliff Dam, then Detroit Dam and later on Bachelor Butte Ski Run. What a wonderful day of fun, laughter, snow and excitement. We appreciated the trip and want to thank the staff for making it pos sible and Mr. Matt for taking us.
