I have been in on-the-job training for some weeks, but now I am vis iting some friends of mine at Che mawa. I will probably spend the week with them. I thought of writing a short ar ticle about my job and about the place I work, while I am here in class. | I am working at a place called Camp Sherman. It is just thirty- five miles west of Bend, Oregon.. It is nice country, with lots of pine trees and deer. About my employers: I am work ing* for Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lundgren. They have six children from one to fourteen years of age. The oldest child goes to school at Bend, Oregon, Four children go to school not far from home. The two little ones stay with us all the time; of course, they both aren’t old enough for school yet. I am doing housework. The house has three floors. There are twelve rooms and seven bathrooms. Every morning I fix eight beds and clean the rooms. It takes me all morning to do that. There is a woman who does the cooking for two meals, dinner and supper. She also does the dishes. We all help with the dishes in the evening because we always watch the programs on TV. Mrs. Lundgren takes care of the children and does all the laundry. I do the ironing. Every Saturday the children go skiing with their father. I went with them once. On Sunday we go to Sunday school, and in the after- , noon we go horse riding. They have seventeen horses, I surely do like the place and my job. I think it is a good expe rience to have on-the-job-training. I look forward to the time when I will be on my own. 8th Graders Use 'Scope In science, we eighth graders are studying about animal. life. Our teacher let us get tiny animals out of the puddles that are out by the auditorium. It is very interesting to look at animal life through thé microscope. '
