consigned to the school and placed in
our perm anent craft shop for sale through
out 1he year. A general exhibit room is
to be provided for all articles that repre­
sent th e jold time Indian, such as his
ceremonial regalia and his war trappings,
T he exhibit com m ittee is anticipating
.displays th a t will be representive of Jh e
craft of all of the different reservations
of the N orthw est, and expect to offer
attractive prize awards for different dis­
plays.

N O T IC E TO OWNERS OF
TEPEES!
T he tepee committee w ith Mr. Decorah
as chairm an, wishes to appeal to our I n ­
dian friends to bring th eir tepees as th ey
are planning to have a large Indian Vil-
lage during the Chemawa Indian Cele­
bration. T he committee needs all the
tepees they can get. A rrangem ents are
being completed so th at prize awards may
be given for the best and most ancient
tepees displayed.
T he poles for the tepees are ready and
will be able to handle tepees of all sizes
this year.
Poster Contest
In a recent contest held in our art de­
partm ent for the purpose of finding ideas
for posters and letter heads to be used in
advertising the Chemawa In dian Cele­
bration, the following w inners are an ­
nounced: F irst place was won by Eouis
Eevay in the poster division. Milo E nick
won first place in the letter head designs.
T he art departm ent hopes to have a
large display of art w ork for the com ing
celebration.

EXHIBIT COMMITTEE
T he exhibit committee, w orking in con­
junction w ith the prize committee, has
been busy m aking arrangem ents for space
and for awards for the extensive displays
of Indian exhibits expected for the,.cele-
bration. E xhibits from r e s e r v a tio n s
when in sufficient q u an tity will be as­
signed necessary space to display articles
to much better advantage than formerly.
