Chemawa’s offensive and deTensive game is improving as the sea son .progresses, and Coach Wilder expects by mid-season to have a last powerful team. All-Stars Swish Hoop Like W all Street Ticker Against Brooks The All-Star basketball team, com posed of players not eligible for high school competition, opened their season on Dec. 15th to defeat Brooks by an overwhelming score on the Chemawa floor. The Indians managed to outplay and o u t p a s s t h e B r o o k s quintet throughout the game. They began their »spree early in the first quarter and never stopped until the final whistle blew. They chalked up a 62-10 victory over their opponents. T h e A lb S tar leaps has Joined a league w hich Is made up of team s from the towns in the surrounding country and expect to play a number of games with these teams during the season. The girls inter-class basketball tourna ment ended with the juniors as champ ions and the other three classes trying for second. _ The juniors won every game they played with the other classes. The sophomores won from t h e freshmen, seniors from the sophomores and the freshmen from the seniors. The captains of the class teams are as follows: Josephine Reynolds., s e n i o r ; Wilma Yellowrobe, j u n i o r ; Dorothy Southern, sophomore; and Anna Arch dale, freshman.
