Our boys all appeared in new shoes this night and the combination of red suits and new, shiny black shoes looked mighty fine. The prelimin ary game was won by the Comrade club as they de feated the Gervais B team, 35-6. Oregon City Conquers Chemawa Friday, Jan. 12, the boys’ basketball squad went to Oregon City to play the high school teams of that city. Despite the advantage in height that the opponents had over them and the loss of captain Isaac Shoulder- blade, who was confined to the hospital, the Redskins did very well against their powerful adversaries and the score does not indicate how closely the teams were matched in general floor work. The final score was 33-13. In the starting line-up was Wallace Zundle, forward; Sam Shoulderblade, forward; Walter Majhor, center; Eugene Keyote, guard; John Blacketer, guard. In the peliminary fracas the Chemawa B team triumph ed over the Oregon reserves 34-29. BASKETBALL SCHEDULE Dec. 13, 1933, Jefferson, there, won, 16—9. Dec. 19, Monmouth, here, won, 29—27.
