Cretonne curtains have been made by the senior girls for the beauty parlor and barber shop. Lillian Halsey has just recovered from a week or so of illness. She was in the hospital during the Christ mas tree program. The Senior Class gave her a poinsettia plant for a Christmas present. We are glad to have Lillian back in class again. MACHINE SHOP NOTES Vacation time has cut the attendance^quite heavily the past week. Demmert, Mahone, Dumont and Stewart are away on vacation, but the rest of the boys have been working industriously. At the present COMMERCIAL The Senior Rotators held their regular monthly meeting on Dec. 21st in the commercial room. The fol lowing were initiated: Henrietta Blakeslee, Elizabeth Ides, Jesse Crook, “Chuck” DePoe, Tiny Smith, Fred Rickard and Arnold McKay. A talk by Miss Roddy, refreshments, and a social period were enjoyed by the members. “Chuck” DePoe “subbed” as a commercial teacher while Miss Hoffman motored to Mt. Hood last Wed nesday. Nevertheless, we did not permit the absence of our regular teacher to interfere with the thorough review of our commercial subjects. DRAMATIC CLUB NOTES The Girls’ Dramatic Club is working on a new play. The date of the production has not been set, but it will be interesting to know that Lucille Powakee is taking the lead. Each girl in the Dramatic Club is writing a skit in hopes of getting one of the prizes that Miss White has offered for the best skits. Dramatic Club Girls were well represented in the operetta, pageant, and various Christmas activités.
