C hoate was h ig h p o in t man for th e In d ian s w ith first in th e 100-yard d ash , discus th ro w , second in th e sh o tp u t, th ird in th e javelin, and tied for first in the broad ju m p , all for a total of 19 p o in ts. Spearson of C hem aw a won th e mile easily in the fast tim e of 4:35.4. R ichm ond was h igh point m an for W ash in g to n w ith six p o in ts. U pon his re tu rn yesterday C oach W ind nagle praised th e Chem aw a In d ian s h ig h ly and said his ath letes received fine treatm en t at th eir h an d s. T h e In d ian s, according to the W ash in g to n coach, are fine sportsm en and are also a fast b u nch of athletes. From then on th e gam e w as ours. “ Je w ” circled th e bases for th e first run of th e gam e, scoring from th ird on a p retty bu n t laid dow n by B ettles. Both W ilder and C hoate connected and crossed the p late in the fifth and seventh in n in g s respectively. T h en p itch er L arsen took a new lease on life and held o u r boys till th e n in th in n in g w hen Sam pson d u g up his tom ahaw k and started his w arriors once m ore w ith a ^ e - lin e drive to rig h t field. W ilder followed C h o a te’s p o p ” fly to first w ith another bingle over second, sco iin g S am pson. “ Je w ” B uchert took an o th er good look at his rabbit foot then pounded th e ball to left center, scoring W ilder. P eter L loyd drove B uchert in for th e th ird ru n of th e in n in g w ith a double to rig h t field. T oday our ball team will cross bats w ith our old rival, W illam ette. W e defeated her earlier in the sea son I t o 0 and th e squad has been p u ttin g in their best licks th is week g e ttin g ready to tu rn th e trick once m ore.
