Every time you blame someone for causing you to
stumble, stop and consider if you are trying to serve
as a model for another. While you are responsible in
your example for other lives, yet your greatest obli­
gation is to live your life in the truest, cleanest,
noblest way you know how, and everything else that
concerns you must come right. Remember that your
misdoings cannot be excused on the complaint that
“ he did the same th in g .”
