King plays the sweetest guitar in the world and does it with such honesty, intensity, straightforward- ( ness, love, respect and fun that the audience Oresponds in kind. His Queen is his guitar and the two of them have no equal. King was known primarily by hard-core blues fans until 1967 when Bill Graham began to book him into San Francisco’s Fillmore West and New York’s Filmore East. Within a year B. B. King was hired as the opening act for the Rolling Stones’ U.S. tour. Eric Clap ton, Mike Bloomfield and the Beatles have credited King as an inspiration. The Robert Cray Band will open the even ing’s entertainment. Cray is recognized na tionally as well as internationally as one of the rising stars in blues music. The concert begins at 8 pm. Tickets are $14.50 plus a users fee. They’re available at all Hult Center ticket outlets and by calling 687 5000.
