e King of the Blues
himselfwill grace the stage of Silva Hall in the
Hult Center this Saturday night. King plays
the sweetest guitar in the world and does it

the two of them have no equal.
King was known primarily by hard-core
blues fans until 1967 when Bill Graham began
to book him into San Francisco’s Fillmore
West and New York’s Filmore East. Within a
year B. B. King was hired as the opening act
for the Rolling Stones’ U.S. tour. Eric Clap
ton, Mike Bloomfield and the Beatles have
credited King as an inspiration.
The Robert Cray Band will open the even
ing’s entertainment. Cray is recognized na
tionally as well as internationally as one of the
rising stars in blues music.
The concert begins at 8 pm. Tickets are
$14.50 plus a users fee. They’re available at all
Hult Center ticket outlets and by calling 687
