Thank-you to Firefi ghters A thank-you event for wildland fi refi ghters and other public servants for their work during the 2017 fi re season is set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 22 at Village Green Park. The community is invited to bring thank-you notes and drawings by kids, plus a homemade dessert. Volunteers will serve donated ice cream and the desserts, then distribute the notes to fi re departments and the public service agencies who assisted. Walk/Jog-a-thon Fundraiser On Friday, October 20 from 10 to 11 a.m., the students of Sisters Christian Academy will be walking and jogging at the Sisters High School track.
