Wednesday, March 29, 2017 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon 13 Sisters furniture-baker Council sets goals for City enters new barket By Sue Stafford Correspondent New startup Oregon Grow Cabinets is focusing on the burgeoning home-growing movement with a new suite of grow cabinets constructed to fine-furniture standards and equipped with innovative climate controls. “Our cabinets are an industry game-changer,” said Adam Bronstein, owner/ founder. “They are designed to provide you with the per- fect customizable growing environment while look- ing great in your home. Our grow cabinets are something you will be proud to display. There is nothing like our products on the market today, and they are built here in Central Oregon.” People are discovering that they can grow for themselves what they used to buy, and Oregon Grow Cabinets make the home-growing experi- ence streamlined and easy. Whether it’s growing canna- bis or vegetables, the climate- controlled growing environ- ment inside an Oregon Grow Cabinet takes the guesswork out of gardening and helps to ensure that your plants thrive. Growing your own also allows consumers to avoid the pesticides and fertilizers used by commercial growers. “Nothing can match the reward of growing and providing for yourself,” Bronstein says. “If you don’t have control from start to finish, how can you really know what you are consum- ing? I like having the piece of mind of knowing exactly how my crops are grown. It also allows me to focus on the quality of what I grow.” A zero-compromise approach to form, function and quality all came together during the development of the suite of Oregon Grow cabinets. “When I decide on mak- ing a significant purchase in life, I am looking for products that add value and provide me with day-to-day enjoyment,” Bronstein said. A fine-furniture-maker by trade, Bronstein reworked and fine-tuned the cabinet designs for more than a year before it met his high quality standards. “I wanted to merge the worlds of indoor growing and furniture-making together, and I am proud to launch Oregon Grow Cabinets and bring a beautiful and func- tional product to market.” Sisters City Council voted to approve the 2017/18 City of Sisters Council Goals and Objectives at last week’s Council meeting. The goals the Council will focus their efforts on are: eco- nomic growth and diversity; financial transparency and accountability; organizational and operational effectiveness; and effective public communi- cation and outreach. This year’s goals were determined through a process involving the Council, the City manager, City department heads, and examples of goal setting materials from other Central Oregon communities. The resulting document will aid in building the budget for the coming fiscal year and can be adjusted as needed with the passage of time and devel- opment of new circumstances. A helpful tool has been created where the four main goals are listed across the top of a grid, along with estimated cost, the fund(s) involved, and the budget year charged. Listed down the grid, by department responsible for a project, are the objectives/ activities planned for fiscal year 2017/18, with a des- ignation of the goals being — Saturday, April 1 — Hot Tea Cold 7:30 doors 8:00 show $15 adv $20 door Get down with the rhythm and funk! — Friday, April 21 — Jeff rey Martin & Anna Tivel Starts Friday Fri., Mar. 31 – Thurs., Apr. 6 The Boss Baby (PG) Fri-Sun 1:15, 2:45, 5:00, 7:15 Mon-Thurs 2:45, 5:00, 7:15 Lovesong (NR) Mar 31 / Fri / 8-11:30 PM Miss Lonely Hearts Honey Don’t Redwood Son 7:30 doors 8:00 show $10 adv $15 door Fri-Sun 5:45, 7:45 Mon-Thurs 3:30, 7:30 Beauty and the Beast (PG) Join us for a night of dancing with three of the best bands in the Pacifi c Northwest. oldstonebend.com Fri-Wed 1:30, 4:15, 7:00 Thurs 1:30, 4:15 Apr 22 / Sat / 8 PM 157 Franklin, Bend Kedi (NR) Fri-Thursday 1:45, 5:45 Cardiovascular disease, depression, auto-immune, pain, Alzheimer’s and more can have a component of INFLAMMATION.
