Tom Kemper and Keith See APARTMENTS on page 30 Science Fair gearing up for March 18 event The 2017 Sisters Science Fair is forging ahead with event plans and new exhibits. The Science Fair is sched- uled for Saturday, March 18 at Sisters High School from noon to 4 p.m. The Science Fair is a com- munity-wide event attracting people of all ages to observe, ask questions and partici- pate in the many hands-on exhibits. There’s no reason to be overwhelmed by the exhibits. Students and adult volunteers will be walk- ing around wearing buttons that say “ASK ME! What? How? Why?” You can stop one of them to ask questions or find an expert to help you. SFF poster celebrates harmony By Jodi Sc2neider Correspondent Music and art enthusiasts gathered at Sisters Gallery & Frame Shop for the offi- cial unveiling of Sisters Folk Festival’s (SFF) poster Wednesday evening, featuring original artwork by Dennis McGregor. A little after 5 p.m. the 2017 SFF poster was revealed to overwhelming applause and cheers as folks gazed upon Lady Liberty holding a guitar in front of the world painted in warm hues of blue and yellow. “The Statue of Liberty stands in New York Harbor, but belongs to all Americans.
