CLARIFICATIoN City Recorder Kathy Nelson clarified that prospec- tive candidates for Sisters City Council do not have to have their applications to her by August 16 – that is a “soft date to make sure they have enough time to get the signatures required, get them 9 certified by the County Clerk and get all the paperwork back to me by August 30 prior to 5 p.m.” Nelson said, “Someone can wait until the morn- ing of the 30th to start the paperwork if they want, but they would likely run out of time to complete the process.” www.NuggetNews.com
