Sweet Home wrestlers dominatedthematandtook first place with a team total of376points.NorthMarion wasrunner-upwith304and Cascadetookthirdwith249. Two Outlaws, seniors DyutFetrowandZachReid, finished third and fourth respectively, which earned thembothaberthtothestate championships. Fetrow(138pounds)was seededfifthandhad21wres- tlersinhisweightclass.Due tothehighnumber,Dyuthad towrestleinapigtailmatch, andhadtowininordertoget agoodspotinthebracket. Dyutwonbyafallin3:22 againstAmersonofYamhill- Carltoninthepigtailmatch, and went on to pin Dylan DonnellofPhilomathin1:18 inhisfirstmatchofbracket competition. In his second match, Fetrow pinned No. 4 seed AlecRobertsofNorthMarion in 3:13. In the next match, FetrowfacedNo.1seedJoe RasmussenofSweetHome, whichwashistoughestmatch ofthetournament.Dyutwent allthreeroundsbutlostina 9-4decision. “Thatwasthebestmatch I’veeverseenDyutwrestle,” saidCoachJohnDowns.“He gaveeverythinghehad,and wassoexhaustedattheend ofthematchhecouldbarely standup.” The loss sent Fetrow into the consolation semis wherehematchedupagainst Connor Kelly of Cascade. Dyut pinned Kelly in 1:50, which qualified him for the third/fourth-place match. Dyut wrestled No. 3 seed Rodney Chamberlain of Cottage Grove, battled hard all three rounds, earned the win in a 8-6 decision.
